Three people were killed and another was injured as unidentified miscreants opened fire on them in the capital`s Moghbazar area on Thursday evening.
The incident took place at the house no 78 at Sonalibagh area near Moghbazar Wireless Gate around8.00pm.
The deceased were identified as Ranu, 32, Belal Hossain, 22, Munna, 20, while the injured is Hridoy Hossain, 28.
Moshiur Rahman, Officer in Charge (OC) of Raman Police Station, said a group of seven to eight criminals led by Kala Babu shot the four people at their residence.
Ranu, Belal and Munna were declared dead when they were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital while the condition of Hridoy is serious. He is now undergoing treatment at the hospital.
