The government has declared public holiday for Durga Puja on October 22, Thursday.
After the Cabinet meeting, Cabinet Division Secretary Muhammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan told reporters on Monday that instead of October 23 the holiday will be on a day earlier because the Nabami and Dashami fall on the same date.
The Durga Puja public holiday was earlier fixed for Oct 23 this year.
