The second convocation of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology was held today in a festive mood.
The education minister, Nurul Islam Nahid, presided over the inaugural function of the convocation as chief guest on behalf of the country’s president, Md Zillur Rahman, who is the chancellor of the university.
Eminent educationist and professor emeritus of Chittagong University Jamal Nazrul Islam was present there as convocation speaker while vice-chancellor Professor Muhammad Alamgir delivered his welcome speech in the programme that began at 9:30am.
All the registered alumni took their seats at the venue at 9:30am. Later on, they, along with the teachers, joined the convocation procession which returned to the venue at 10:30am.
