In 1968 one my cousin was in US AIR FORCE. It was 1971, I have seen the heroism of East Bengal Regiment. I wanted to join the armed forces but opportunity did not arise. So I joined UOTC Later BNCC. I loved the discipline, I loved the uniform. I was always independent , of non conformist mind. The Americam constitution is a perfect document for my mind. So, what ever I say now would be in that light and I like to be understood clearly. I do not agree with the statement coming out of " sena sodor" or Army Headquarter. It should be stated clearly that any criticism of Army Chief is not the criticism of Armed forces. For me armed forces still an respectable institution with integrity. But it should also be noted, cowardice of few officers do not and should not reflect on such big institution.
About General Aziz, his is unqualified to be the Chief Of my beloved Institution. His cowardice behavior when he was the Chief of RAB clearly disqualified him for the position he is now. There is a difference between an individual and an institution.
I do not know what Dr. Zafforullah Choudhury said but I know he is an independent thinker . If he criticizes General Aziz, it is not the criticism of Armed Forces. So, statement coming out of army Head Quarter need correction. Criticism of General Aziz is not the criticism of armed forces. The Army Head Quarter should investigate why some officers became part of political operative and misbehaved with The Chief Justice of The Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh should not get involved in politics.
