It is now known worldwide that September 11 is a black day. This day is termed as Nine-Eleven. This year, the day coincided with the killing of an American Ambassador in Benghazi in Libya along with three of his colleagues. It is yet to be known who mounted the attack on the consulate but it is believed that the attack must be a reprisal of the attack mounted on the Muslims in general and particularly on the celebrated Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (sm). Recently, an Israeli-American Christian made a film costing 5 million dollars collected largely from the Orthodox Jews targeted to demean the Prophet of Islam. It is also coming to the forefront that the Christian Pastor who earlier burnt the copies of Holly Quran and opposed the construction of a mosque at the Twin Tower site has encouraged and promoted the apparent lust for making a heinous film and circulating the same through nets with subtitle in Arabic. This is perhaps the reason for violent eruption in Benghazi, Libya. Unfortunately this coincided with the eleventh anniversary of the Twin Tower massacre. However the distant causes of such uprising appear to be general sense of humiliation of the Muslims in the name of chasing jihadis and terrorists and failure of Obama administration to take action against the Christian Pastor in the recent past. He has assigned it to democracy to settle the matter. Democracy gives the right to everybody to say and to do anything and everything. Democracy also sets limit and the right of swinging of stick of one ends with the beginning of the nose of the others. Perhaps, Obama Administrations failed to grasp the Muslim sentiment and is likely to pay a heavy price for the mistake in the forthcoming general election in USA.

Barack Obama is in a fix to take firm action. If he moves against the Americans, he is going to lose large chunk of votes of Orthodox Christian and Jews and from this end, the making of the film namely “Innocence of Muslims” may be a premeditated rehearsal of his opponent to deprive him of the votes of a section of two major communities in USA. If he hits hard on the Muslims; he is going to pay for it too. If he remains silent about it, his opponent is going to dub him as a sympathiser of Muslims. Already his opponent in the republican party uttered a few sentences that entangled Obama with Muslims. At least some voters are likely to believe it and act against Obama whose father and forefathers were Muslim. In the prevailing situation, Obama needs to act prudently. Already he has moved to take action against the killers of the American Ambassador and sent forces to places which witnessed demonstration by the Muslims. Perhaps this is very wrong strategy. All over the Muslim world, it is generally believed that Obama failed to act in time which proved the proverb that a stitch in time saves nine.

It is now demanded by the Muslims of Middle East, North Africa and South Asia that Obama must apologise to the Muslims and bring to task the initial offenders. This may pacify the Muslims but may irritate his voters at home. This may cause erosion of votes for him and make road for his opponent to clamp down on the Muslims all over the world after winning the coming election. Therefore, the Muslims should behave prudently at this juncture of the United States and its election. Muslims should also prove by their deeds that they are not terrorists, nor supporters of violence in order to correct those misconceptions depicted in “Innocence of Muslim”. Islam teaches people to be peace loving, humanitarian and tolerant to others. In this connection, it may be worthwhile to remind about a few verses of Surah Kafirun. At the same time, all well-meaning people of the world irrespective of their race, religion and case must condemn the wrong doers.

Already well-meaning people all over the world have started actions to save the humanity. Festoons, banners and placards carried contain messages of condemnation of the terrorists and sympathy for the killed Americans. Hillary Clinton also condemned the wrong-doers. The Pope is out to speak about the harmony among the different religious groups. Even a former minister-turned-rabbi in Israel has condemned the style and language of the film. Some of the actors and actresses of the film lamented their participation in the film, but the film maker appears to be undaunted and unchanged. The Christian Pastor is yet to be heard. However, it is obvious that not the Libyans rather it is the very Pastor who has fuelled it initially and later encouraged an Orthodox Israeli-American Christian to make a film with false, fabricated and concocted facts, should first be taken to task followed by the film maker, at an opportune moment. The humiliation of Muslims must stop and there must be a general clampdown on ugly utterances and dirty politics with religions and prophets who are described in sacred terms in holly books. In the meantime, it is high time that Muslims all over the world should confine their actions to peaceful demonstration instead of resorting to violence or making it an instrument to settle the discord with the political opponents at home. Islam and Muslims must not be used for personal and political gains and games. Refraining from these will be the greatest respect shown to the beloved Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Sm.) who proved himself as the ambassador and champion of peace, prosperity, equality and fraternity all over the world.
